BENACHI-NIFINYANGE

It is better to listen than to talk.Today more than ever I have been made to want to listen.

Benachi.

Benachi?Somebody recently asked me when I mentioned this name.What is Benachi?Is it some kind of Safaricom or Airtel new promo?Is it a place-where on earth is it?Is it a confectionary-how does it taste?

This is when I realized that just like me,until the other day,we have little info on who/what Benachi is.Benachi is not a thing but a person,a Kenyan urban gospel artist.

This is the guy who is so good but apparently not played nor talked about much like his gospel music contemporaries -from my own ratings-except for #RadioMaisha  which has play his #Nifinyange almost every Sunday yet he is a master of the game much better than most of his contemporaries.
He is known but not yet known as I would wish he would because he is the finest symbol of what artistic finesse and meaningful gospel music is.

His musical qualities are above the sky and having listened to his '#Nifinyange', I am hooked to it.
Forget about songs praising materialism/materialistic prosperity or the ones pressurizing God for material blessings.

Forget about songs that paint life  as one sickening thing with nothing good to come out of it and so create gospel songs to console ourselves.No.

Forget too those songs that paint a grim picture of God as an angry vengeful God and we are doomed when we fall short of his grace and so instead of them drawing you closer to God they make you resent Him.No!
What about the very heart of true worship:just submitting to God and wanting to simply worship.What else is greater in the relationship with God than this-just submitting to Him and accepting His will in your life?
This is #Benachi's  message in his #Nifinyange.It  is the clearest and the most sincere prayer that I have't heard in a very long time:."Nifinyange baba/Nijenge unavotaka a/.../niite ni heri nikufuate wewe/..Nibadilishe.../('Mould me,father/Build me as you wish/..call me,'cause it is better to follow you/...change me..')

#Benachi's message is timeless and deep.His song too,therefore is timeless. He is my official artist I am banking my money on till he challenges my new found love in his work.
#Nifinyange is my official theme song.It is a statement of the greatest aspiration I can ever think of and strive to realize in this life.
